Nova Reporting System- Best UI/UX Award at UM Prototype 2024

Introducing the Nova Reporting System. A web application designed for nursing home staff members in the public health system to document and report incidents that happened during their shift. Incident types include injuries, illnesses, property damages and near misses. Along with creating and submitting reports, users can view report updates and status, or view their schedule. The Nova reporting system received the "Best UI/UX Undergraduate Student Award" in the University of Miami School of Communication's Interactive Media Annual Showcase!

Understanding User Needs:

The first step in brainstorming Nova was understanding the needs for every day public health workers. By doing this, my team and I did extensive research on nursing staff members and understanding the needs and preferences to make their daily lives easier. Through user surveys, wireframes, and prototype testing, we were able to curate a system that nursing staff members can use without being a burden.
